Welcome to Happy Children's Foundation
Special needs children are normally left behind when it comes to entertainment and social outings. We understand that the actual process of getting a special needs child out of the house with their essential equipment can be physically challenging at best. These children deserve more activity out in the local community, not only for their benefit, but for that of the general public at large.
Southern California is very fortunate to have many beautiful, bright, and energetic special needs children who are now sitting in strollers and wheelchairs watching their ambulatory peers going to concerts, movie theaters, plays, and other events.
Happy Children’s Foundation is preparing regular outings to movie theaters, concerts, plays, Knott’s Berry Farm, Disneyland, Magic Mountain, Clippers and Lakers’ games, Hollywood studio shows, and other local entertainment venues.
Any family that has an application for services on file with appropriate medical information verifying the medical condition/health of their child is provided free transportation, meals, and entry fees for all of our events.
At this time, all parents and/or caregivers are required to accompany their child; however, in the near future Happy Children’s Foundation will be equipped with professional staff, volunteers, and appropriate insurance to take many of our participating children on outings without their caregivers.
We are a nonprofit organization and are now accepting applications for services and membership. If you or someone you know is caring for a disabled or special needs child and would like further information, please contact us.
All services are provided at no cost to families.
Happy Children's Foundation Mission Statement
The specific purpose of this nonprofit corporation is the enhancement of the social, psychological, and economic health and well-being of the parent and families of disabled, handicapped, and/or special needs children. We are committed to providing respite care for parents and caregivers, weekly fun, and entertainment journeys around the Southern California area at no cost to the family. We are a clearing house of valuable information and resources concerning the improvement of quality of life of members of the disabled child household.
